Hundreds of sled dogs and thousands of fans lined up along Anchorage's Fourth Avenue on Saturday for the ceremonial start of the 1,100-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

It's a change most mushers don't have a problem with, except for 3-time champion Lance Mackey. Mackey is a throat cancer survivor who has a medical marijuana card. He acknowledges using marijuana on the trail and thinks his success has attracted jealousy from some of his competitors.
